Biography
Dr P. Ramesh Principal Scientist joined the Academy on June 13, 2012 in Education Systems Management Division. After obtaining his Ph.D. in Agronomy from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, he joined the ICAR Service in 1989. He served as Scientist at Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore during 1990-1999. In 1999, he was selected as Senior Scientist at Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal and there he was promoted to Principal Scientist in 2006. In 2009, he moved to Directorate of Oilseeds Research, Hyderabad and served for about two and half years before joining in NAARM. He did B.A.(psychology) from Madras University, M.A. (psychology) and PG Diploma in Guidance & Counseling from Annamalai University and PG Diploma in Human Resource Management from IGNOU. He has been trained in the area of ” Higher Education-Leadership and Administration” at the Borlaug Institute of International Agriculture, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA. He has published more than 70 research papers in both national and international journals.
