Biography
She is a physician and a scientist with research experience on epidemiological aspects of enteric diseases for last four years. After graduating from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal in 2008, she worked as junior resident in the department of Ophthalmology in M.R.Bangur Hospital. She also worked as Senior Research Fellow (Medical) in IVI-CVT & PDVI projects of NICED. She joined the council as Scientist B in November, 2011. Currently she has completed Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology & Health System) from ICMR - SPH, NIE, Chennai. In NICED, she is involved in several epidemiological research work and epidemic investigations.
Research Interest
Dr. Debnath's main interest is in community based studies on diarrhea and other enteric infections. She is also interested in investigating communicable disease epidemics.
