Biography
Dr. Tapas Biswas joined NICED on September 11, 1989 after completing his post doctoral research at NIH, USA. Presently, he is working to understand how bacterial molecules signal to display heightened immunity and under certain conditions, apoptosis. Mostly, the studies are directed to dissect the mechanism of gut immunity in which bacterial molecules would suffice as adjuvants. So far he has published over 40 papers in peer reviewed journals, mentored 9 Ph. D thesis and reviewed manuscripts for several leading immunology journals.
