Biography
Lakhan Singh is working as Assistant Professor, Centre for Human Resource Development in National Institute of Rural Development. Dr. Singh has completed his Ph.D(Population Studies), MPS, MA (Psychology), UGC-NET for lectureship. He has experience in Assistant Professor (July 2014 to Present), NIRD&PR, Hyderabad Research Associate (September 2008 to June 2014), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai Senior Research Officer, Research officer, Assistant research Officer (June 2001 to August 2008), International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai.
Research Interest
Social-psychological aspects of change and development, behaviour change theories- Indian context, women health - issues of accessibility, availability, affordability to health care services, nutrition and Rural Development programmes, psychosocial health of disadvantaged people, Indian demography, demographic dividend, social science research methods, large-scale surveys-NFHS series, Census of India.
