Hemantha Kumar is working as Associate Professor, Centre for Livelihoods in National Institute of Rural Development. Kumar completed his M.A; M.Phil; Ph.D(Economics). Kumar has 5 years prior to joining NIRD&PR, and 11 years in NIRD&PR. Kumar areas of interest in Development Economics; Sustainable Rural Livelihoods; Participatory Irrigation Management; Natural Resources Management; Wage Employment.
