Biography
Prof. Bhattacharyya also did his Post Doctoral work in Electrical Engineering department on Aerosol particles. After that he worked at Intel and many other companies. He has published 52 Papers and about 27 Patents. Out of which some patents made an industrial breakthrough to design successfully the first lap top packages which can handle high frequency and less than 10 watt power. This package came out to be the one of the best discoveries in 1990, in semiconductor International Journal as an Editor's choice. Prof. Bhattacharyya was awarded the IEEE Grade for his contributions to the electronics packaging in the year 2000. He is also the recipient of IAA award given by the founder's of Intel corporation Dr. Andy Grove and Dr. Gordon Moore. He was also one of the person who has an impact on the quick path interconnect is Intel's Architectural work and he published that patent as point to point interconnect to perform High Speed testing in the year 1992. That patent today converted back to Quick Path Interconnect around 2008. Sixteen years latter. At present he is still working on interconnect which deals with power delivery solutions and signaling.
