Biography
Associate Professor of Law at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore. Currently, he is Chairperson, Ministry of Commerce & Industries (Government of India, New Delhi) Chair on International Trade Laws’ at NLSIU. He was the Chairperson for the Under-Graduate Council (UGC) of this University. He teaches two compulsory courses, international trade law and conflict of laws (private international Law) to the under-graduate students and offers a regular course, the World Trade Organization (WTO), to the post- graduate law students.Before joining the National Law School of India University, Bangalore in 2002, Govindraj Hegde had worked as Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator for the Post-Graduate Diploma in International Trade and Business Law at the Indian Academy of International Law & Diplomacy, the teaching wing of the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL), New Delhi. Besides, he was Assistant Editor for the Indian Journal of International Law (IJIL).
