Biography

Prof. Dr. N.L. MITRA M.Com., LLM., Ph.D. Former Director, National law School of India, Bangalore and Founder Vice Chancellor, National Law University, Jodhpur continues his association with the Law School as Visiting Faculty. He is also Director of Center for Business Law Studies, run by a Research Foundation in Bangalore, Visiting Professor at NALSAR, Hyderabad, Visiting Professor in summer course in Duke University, US, Advisor to Rajiv Gandhi Intellectual Property Law School of IIT, Kharagpur. He has functioned as Legal Advisor to Governor, RBI (1999-2001) for Financial Sector Law Reform, Chairman (1999-2000), RBI Committee on Bankruptcy, Chairman (200-2001), RBI Committee on Financial Fraud, Chairman (2000-2001), SEBI Committee on Investors’ protection, Member (1999-2000), Fiscal Responsibility and Management constituted by MoF, GoI, Member (2001-2005), Legal Advisory Committee, SEBI, And Advisor or Member of various other Committees at different times.
