M.p Chengappa

Biography

Obtained his LL.B degree (2006) from University of Mangalore and LL.M (2008) from University of Mysore with First Rank and Gold Medal at the University. Besides Mr. Chengappa has done M.A in Public Administration from University of Mysore. (2012). Between the years 2008 and 2011, he served as full time Research Scholar at the Department of Studies and Research in Law, University of Mysore and obtained his Doctorate in 2012. Prior to joining NUJS he served as Research Officer under the Chair on Urban Poor and Law at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Mr. Chengappa has also served as visiting faculty under Linnaeus-Palme Academic Exchange Programme at the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden, Stockholm) and delivered lectures on Water Law. He has published a number of articles in journals of repute and represented the NLSIU in many prestigious seminars and conferences. He has taught Comparative Constitutional Law for the LL.M programme and Media and the Law for LL.B students at the University of Mysore. In addition, he has engaged classes on Land law and Environmental law at NLSIU, Bangalore.
