Biography
Ms. Bhumika D. Patel is working as Assistant professor in Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. She has 9 year and 8 months of teaching experience. She completed her Ph.D. on a research project entitled "Rational Designing, Synthesis and Pharmacological Evaluation of Novel DPP-4 inhibitors as Anti-diabetic agents" She has attended many national and international level seminars and conferences. She has 11 international publications and 19 presentations in her credit. She has received a 3 year minor research project grant of Rs. 5,00,000/- from GUJCOST in the year 2013. She has guided 8 PG students as co-guide and her area of research area includes in-silico design and synthesis of different heterocycles under various therapeutic classes. She has a sound knowledge of drug designing softwares like Sybyl, Discovery Studio, Gold, Schrodinger etc. She is a life member of professional bodies like APTI, IPA, ISCB(Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists), Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
