Dr. Deepak Kumar Srivastava

Biography

Dr. Deepak K. Srivastava is Professor of International Business at the Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. He holds MBA and PhD degrees from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, and has more than fifteen years of academic experience. With several academic assignments in different countries, Dr. Srivastava brings an international flavor to both teaching and research. He has held visiting teaching and research assignments at School of Business, Tecnologico De Monterrey, Campus Estado de México, México; College of Business and Management, East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania USA; Coggin College of Business, University of North Florida, Jacksonville USA; University of Evansville, Evansville ,USA; Szechenyi Istvan University, Gyor, Hungary; Corviuns University, Budapest, Hungary; University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovak; Turku University, Turku, Finland and BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo, Norway. As a distinct achievement, he has become full professor at the age of 36. On 11th April 2014, Dr. Deepak made a well-received address to delegates at the Infopoverty World Conference held at the United Nations, Headquarters, New York, USA. He is a member of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi. The Hon'ble President of India, in his capacity as the Visitor of Sikkim Central University, has nominated him as member to the Academic Council of the University. He has been member of NAAC peer team. Dr. Deepak has been featured by many newspapers and magazines as young achiever. Regularly, he appears on national TV channels as an expert of global issues. Dr. Srivastava is a co-author of south asian adaptation of Global Business text book with the Prof. Mike W. Peng, University of Texas at Dallas, USA (Global Business by Peng and Srivastava, Cengage Learning, 2011). Dr. Srivastava has held visiting assignments at premier management institutions of India such as IIM-Ranchi, MICA, NIFT, EDI, ABV-IIITM, etc. He has published many research articles in refereed national and international academic journals and numerous articles in business magazines. Dr. Srivastava also writes for leading international and national newspapers such as Helsinki Times, Budapest Times, Indian Express, The Economic Times, The Hindustan Times, Hindu Business Line, Financial Express, Dainik Bhaskar, Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran on socio-economic issues. Apart from this, he contributed a column on political economy for Asian Analysis, an e-Journal, run by the Asean Focus Group in co-operation with the Faculty of Asian Studies, Australian National University, Canberra. He has served on the editorial boards of several academic international and national journals and acted as a reviewer of the annual conferences of the Academy of International Business. Dr. Srivastava has been a member of expert panels, selection committees, academic and advisory councils of many organizations.
