Biography
D.K.Kothari received his BE degree in 1984 from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur (MP), the ME degree in Digital Techniques and Instrumentation in 1989 from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore (MP).and obtained Ph.D. degree from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad in 2009. He joined Institute of Technology, Nirma University (formerly Nirma Institute of Technology) in December 1997 and currently working as Professor and Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. In addition he is Program Coordinator of M.Tech EC (Communication) program since 2008. Before joining Nirma University, he worked as lecturer and Asst. Professor with SSVPS’s College of Engineering, Dhule (Maharashtra) from February 1986 to December 1997, and Maintenance Engineer with Ferro Concrete Cold Rolling Mill for one-and-a-half year. He has published 20 papers at international and national levels in journals and conferences. He guided more than 20 M.Tech Dissertations. His current area of research includes Optical Communication and Networks, Free Space optical Communication and Wireless Networks. He has produced one Ph D under his supervision currently guiding 3 research scholars in these areas towards there doctoral studies. He is also working on 03 research project funded by Gujarat Council of Science and Technology, Govt. of Gujarat and Nirma University.
