Dr. Hardik Girishkumar Bhatt

Biography

Dr. Hardik G. Bhatt is working as Associate Professor and Head in Dept. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Dr. Bhatt is a recipient of GOLD MEDAL for standing FIRST in M.Pharm in Dept. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, L.M. College of Pharmacy, Gujarat University and has more than 12.5 years of teaching & research experiences. He has completed Doctoral Research Work (PhD) under the guidance of Prof. Y. K. Agrawal from Nirma University. Dr. Bhatt has published 25 research and review articles in International and National journals of repute and few are in communication. Dr. Bhatt authored books on “Practicals in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry” and “Practicals in Pharmaceutical Analysis I (Non-Instrumental and Instrumental Methods)”. Dr. Bhatt has working experience in various Major and Minor research projects sponsored by GSBTM, GUJCOST and Nirma University. Dr. Bhatt had presented research papers at various international and national conferences/seminars including 245th ACS Annual Meeting and Exposition, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA; 2009 AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition, Los Angeles, CA, USA; ISCBC-2013; Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) and at state level paper presentation competition – GUJCOST. Dr. Bhatt received various Travel Grants from DST, ICMR, CSIR, etc. for presentation at International Conferences in USA. Research papers presented or co-authored by him won prizes at various International and National Conferences. Overall, he has more than 60 presentations to his credit. Dr. Bhatt is reviewer of manuscripts in various international journals. Dr. Bhatt is recognized postgraduate and Ph.D. guide of Nirma University. He has been actively involved in various capacities in organizing National and International Conferences/Workshops. His areas of research are synthesis of novel heterocyclic ring systems through microwave-irradiation and their evaluation as potent therapeutic agents, Drug Design, QSAR and Molecular Modelling, etc. Dr. Bhatt is a member of various organizations viz. Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), American Chemical Society (ACS), Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and IPNUAA.
