Dr. Madhuri D Bhavsar

Biography

Dr Madhuri Bhavsar is currently Professor and Head of Information Technology department and associated with academics at Postgraduate and Undergraduate level over two decades. Dr Madhuri’s experience spans across not only in teaching , research and administrative activities, but also various other professional activities like organizing an International Conference NUiCONE 2015, which is technically collaborated with IEEE and Taylor and Francis, Co-Chaired NUiCONE 2013 and handled ISTE Gujarat section activities as Honorary Secretary. Dr Madhuri’s field of specialization is High Performance Computing, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing and Software Defined Networking. Dr Madhuri is registered PhD guide at Nirma University and currently guiding 5 Ph D research scholars. Recently, one student has successfully completed Ph D under her guidance. Dr Madhuri has around 38 papers published / presented at International and National level Journals / Conferences in her credit. She has authored/edited three books in the filed of high performance computing.”. Dr Madhuri is recipient of “Best Research Paper Award” in 2017 at IEEE International Conference held at Jalgaon and also "Best Paper award" in a National Conference organized in 2005, by CSI Conference held at Surat. Dr Madhuri’s field of interest in cloud helped her to receive a research project grant from GUJCOST . Recently she received sanction of TWO more research projects funded by ISRO under the scheme of AO NISAR.Grant sanctioned for these projects is around 33 lacs. Dr Madhuri has been the technical reviewer for various International conferences and Journals. Current Activities : Head of IT department. Involved in teaching at Maters and UG level. Providing research guidance to PhD and MTech students. Recently completed research project funded by Gujcost.Received sanction for Two more research projects from ISRO. Organizational committee member of NUiCONE 2017. Member of Board of Studies, Member of FoTE Member of Exam Reforms Committee, Member of Women Development Cell. Member of Complaint Committee for prevention of Sexual Harassment
