Dr. Mihir M Chauhan

Biography

Prof. Mihir Chauhan has been working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, Institute of Technology, Nirma University since 2008. He has acquired his BE from Saurashtra University in 2005, ME from L D College of Engineering in 2007 and completed his PhD from Nirma University in 2016. His major area of research are stress analysis, composite material, computation mechanics and robotics. He is majorly involved in the teaching of the courses like Robotics, CAD, Mechanics of Composite Materials, Stress Analysis, Dynamics of Machines, and Control Engineering at UG and PG level. He has published the research papers at reputed journals and conferences. He has also taken up consultancy projects from industries related to FEA and CAD. He has delivered expert talk on the topics like Robotics and CAD at different national level STTPs and Industrial Training programme. Moreover he is actively involve in the students activities as Faculty adviser of MESA (Mechanical Engineering Students' Association) and Team Nirma Robocon. Being a mentor of Robocon team he has witnessed seven different National Robocon competition since 2009 and out of which three times represented India at international level in 2011, 2014 and 2015.
