Biography
Dr Punit has a doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management from Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT-Kharagpur . He has been a Research fellow of DSIR-TePP(Department of Scientific and Industrial Research) and has handled key innovation funding and commercialization programs at STEP, IIT-KGP while pursuing his research on an action research mode. He has completed his graduation and post graduation in Economics and Statistics respectively from TilkaManjhi Bhagalpur University. His area of teaching and research includes Entrepreneurship development, Innovation management, family business practices , Communications, Industry performance analysis, Women Entrepreneurship development, Entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem setups etc. Dr Punit has in the past served various organizations varying from industry academic to research including stints at ICECD-Ahmedabad and R K University, Rajkot. He has fundamentally contributed to setting up research academic and practice based entrepreneurship ecosystems at IIT-Kharagpur and R K University . As an avid researcher he has quite a few good research papers in leading journals with presented papers in leading entrepreneurship conferences in India and abroad. He is also a reviewer for Technology Management and Innovation review and contributes articles on strategic and geopolitical affairs for US Naval Institute and Defence news. In the past he was nominated for India Innovation Growth Program, a study tour to IC2 at UT Texas, Austin which was supported by IUSSTF, FICCI and Lockheed Martin. He was also part of the winning team of Euro 7000 Global Academic Cup (GAC) held at Nokia City, Finland a worldwide Business Plan competition. Dr. Punit Is presently serving Nirma University with the Institute of Management in the capacity of Assistant Professor.
