Dr. Rajesh Kumar Jain

Biography

Dr Rajesh K. Jain is Professor at Institute of Management, Nirma University. He is Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management; Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from MITS; Post Graduated in Business Administration from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai. Recipient of ‘Shiksha Rattan Award’, and National Merit Scholarship, Dr. Jain is engaged in teaching, research and corporate training for the last twenty six years. His career span includes a decade of rich industrial and academic experience at Mumbai. He has taught at leading management and engineering institutes, including at N.L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai and K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai, to name a few. He has conducted sessions in a variety of management development programmes; presented research papers in many national and international conferences and seminars. He had visited South Korea, Austria, Switzerland, China, and Hong Kong on academic assignments. He had co-authored 6 management books, edited chapters in books published by Pearson and others. He has been instrumental in organization of many National and International Conferences, Seminars, and Workshops of repute. He has Co-Chaired Nirma International Conference of Management (NICOM-2007). He is Vice-Chair for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Local Members Community, Ahmedabad. Dr Jain is Life Member of Indian Society for Mechanical Engineers. Life Member of Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), he has been the Vice Chair of ISTD Ahmedabad Chapter and currently he is National Council Member of ISTD. He was the Chairman of the Executive Diploma Programme at IMNU (2008-11). His research interest include Lean Six Sigma, Quality, Project, Supply Chain Management, Currently he is the Chairman of Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques Area and that of the Ph.D. (External) programme at the Institute.
