Dr. Snehal Sanjaykumar Patel

Biography

Dr. Snehal S Patel, has 15 years and 4 months of teaching, industrial and research experience. She worked as research scientist at of Sunpharmaceutical Advanced Research Centre, Baroda and was involved in New Drug Discovery Program. She worked as senior research fellow at Center for Advanced Cardiovascular and Diabetic Research at L. M. College of Pharmacy under the scheme sponsored by AICTE. She has carried out collaborative work with various pharmaceutical industries and hospitals under the scheme and offers consultation services to pharmaceutical and allied industries. She has published 40 research and review articles in international and national journals of repute. She has presented more than 43 papers and posters in various international and national levels of conferences and attended many seminars, symposiums & workshops. She received first prize and gold medal at national conference organized by Pharmanext , best paper at National conference organized at charusat university and second prize at the conference of Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India. She has received Major research grant worth Rs. 24,75,000/- from Department of Science and Technology (DST) under Fast Track scheme for Young Scientists and minor research grant from GUJCOST worth RS 3,50,000/- . She has also completed minor research project supported by Nirma university worth RS. 1,00,000/-.She is also co-investigator in six interdisciplinary research projects She is recognized post graduate faculty and PhD guide at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University. She is a life member of professional bodies like IPS, ISTE, IPA, etc. Her area of interest is diabetes, cardiovascular, central nervous system and inflammatory disorders.
