Prof. Himanshu Kantilal Patel

Biography

Prof. H. K. Patel holds a ‘Bachelor of Engineering’ degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and a 'Master of Technology' degree in Electrical Engineering. His major areas of expertise are Sensors, Measurement Systems, Industrial Electronics and Industrial Drives. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in Instrumentation & Control Engineering department of Nirma University. He is pursuing his Ph.D. and his major area of research is focused at the Artificial Olfaction Technology. Prof. H. K. Patel is an active member of several International as well as national professional organizations, including ISA, ISTE, ACEEE etc.. He has received an IEE national award for “The Best Technical Paper” in 2005. Prof. Himanshu Patel has published 05 book titles with International publishers. Prof. H. K. Patel is the author of more than 50 research papers published in reputed International Journals and International/ National conference proceedings. He has served as Session Chair in IEEE conference ICIEA2008, Singapore and few more international conferences in India and he has been an esteemed reviewer for many International journals. Prof. Himanshu Patel has won the prestigious "Distinguished Society Services Award", awarded by International Society of Automation (ISA) District'14, Asia-Pacific Region, for the year 2016. Prof. H. K Patel is awarded with the prestigious “Rotaract Ratna” award by Rotary International District 3051, in July 2014 and "Best Faculty Advisor" award by Rotary Club of Kankaria in 2014. Presently he is working as the Coordinator of B.Tech. (IC) programme and also holding the responsibilities of Faculty Advisor of ISA Students’ Chapter. Current Activities : Pursuing Ph.D. at K.S.V. University
