Biography
Prof. Nirmal Chandrakant Soni is an Academician with a passion for Interactions on anything and everything in Economics. His innovative teaching tools and the commitment to make Economics 'simple to grasp' for everyone are highly appreciated among students and colleagues. His constant efforts are to establish a fine balance between relevance and rigour without compromising on innovation and simplicity. Prof. Soni is a Post Graduate in Economic Administration from Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer and has also cleared Foundation and Intermediate levels of Company Secretaryship offered by Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi. Prof. Soni also holds GSET eligibility certification for Assistant Professor in Economics. He is in final stage of PhD in Economics from School of Social Science, Gujarat University. Prof. Soni has begun his teaching career in the year 2000 as a visiting faculty and since than he is associated with academia. His Research Interest lies in the area of Developmental Economics and Environmental Economics. He is working on a University Funded Research project on Negative Externalities generated by Aesthetic Pollution. He has presented papers and case studies in International Conferences and some of his articles, papers and case studies have been published in journals and magazines. He also has a book on Industrial Economics to his credit. He has been awarded honorary membership of Indo Global Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (IGCCIA). He is a Life member of International Commerce Association and a member of All India Management Association (AIMA). Prof. Soni is also associated with an NGO spreading awareness on traffic manners and has volunteered as a Life coach as well in some behavioural programs of Landmark Education Breakthrough Technologies (LEBT).
