Prof. Prashant Jagdishchandra Bagga

Biography

Prof. Prashant J Bagga is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Saurashtra University Rajkot and M Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) from Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. He has 16 years of teaching experience and taught course like Hydraulic and Pneumatic Controls, CAD/CAM, Mechanical Estimating and Costing, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machines, Engineering Graphics, Interpersonal Skills, Computer Programming, etc.. Prof. Prashant J Bagga is the recipient of award for the Best Paper Presented at the International Conference – 2014; Seventh rank amongst top ten students in diploma in engineering. He has published/presented several papers in journals and conferences. He has published two books. He had designed, coordinated and conducted five days training programme on ‘C Programming for faculty members’; coordinated three days training programme on 'CNC Technology and Programming’ ; coordinated short term training programmes in various disciplines of engineering; arranged several training programmes and workshops for higher management of academic institutes, faculty members, industry professionals and students under Centre for Continuing Education. He has delivered technical lectures for industry persons. He is Member of Space Society for Mechanical Engineers - SAC, ISRO and Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education Current Activities : Training programme on CNC technology and programming for faculty members and students.
