Biography
Dr Daniels is senior advisor with the Boston Consulting Group and venture partner with 5AM Venture Management, LLC, both in the US. Dr Daniels has a M.D. from Washington University, St. Louis, US (1987) and a B.S. in Life Sciences from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, US (1981). Dr Daniels also has a M.A. in Metabolism and Nutritional Biochemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, US (1981). Dr Daniels was first elected to the Board of Novo Nordisk A/S in 2016 and has most recently been re-elected in March 2017. His term as a board member expires in March 2018. In March 2017, the Board of Directors of Novo Nordisk A/S assessed that Dr Daniels is regarded as an independent board member as defined in Section 3.2.1 of the Recommendations on Corporate Governance designated by Nasdaq Copenhagen.
