Biography

Orion offers an expeditionary cruise experience aboard their 100-passenger vessel as it sails remote Antarctic, Asian, Australian, and South Pacific itineraries. The physician as sole medical officer onboard, will practice 3- to 4-month contracts to include competitive salary, senior officer status, medical liability insurance and air/land travel to and from home of record and the vessel. English-speaking physicians must have a medical degree from a recognized college or university and a current valid medical license. In addition to ACLS, they must hold board certification in emergency medicine, family practice or internal medicine or have a minimum of three years postgraduate clinical experience in general and emergency medicine. Prior shipboard experience highly preferred.
