Biography

An MBA from Indian Institute of Social Welfare &; Business Management, Kolkata with specialization in Personnel Management and a Ph.D in Management from NSOU, Kolkata, she has an experience of more than 22 (twenty two) years in the industry and about 12 ( twelve)years in academics. She has varied exposure in the areas of Corporate Personnel functions and Industrial Relations being posted in the factory as well as at the Corporate Head Quarters. She was involved in recruitment, performance appraisal and promotion exercises of managerialpersonnel of the Head Office as well as the units ( comprising about a 1000 executives and 30,000 workers and clerical staff) and bipartite negotiation with trade union leaders. She also participated in workers training programs conducted by Central Board of Workers Education at various factories.While teaching at ICFAI Business School, Kolkata as well as at NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata she has actively participated and hosted Management Development Programs and has been a speaker on several occasions. She has undertaken training programs for middle level managers of Honeywell Automation Limited, IBP Co., Nicco Telelinks, Eastern Spinning Mills, Air India, Jayashree Textiles ( Aditya Birla Group), Institute of Port Management, Kolkata, IEEMA Indian Electricals and Electronics Manufacturers Association, Kolkata, etc. Her areas of teaching include Industrial Relations, Labour Laws, Compensation Management, Organizational Development, HR Audit, Human Resource Planning, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management.
