Biography
Educational Credentials: M.A. in English from Jadavpur University Suchandra Chakraborty has been an Assistant Professor of English & Business Communication at NSHM College of Management & Technology since 2006. Prior to that she worked as a journalist in the print media with THE STATESMAN, KOLKATA for a long span. She has numerous articles and features published in various newspapers and magazines both in English and Bengali to her credit. She has translated award winning novels from Bengali to English for Sahitya Akademi. She has edited a number of books. She has been the Vice President of a Research Organisation , Indian Association for Asian and Pacific Studies. She has been Master of Ceremonies for the Japanese Language Speech Contest for a number of years undertaken by the Indo-Japanese Welfare and Cultural Society under the aegis of the Japan Foundation.
