Biography
A visionary entrepreneur, Mr. Abhaya Kumar has over 4 decades of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. He set up Shasun Chemicals and Drugs in 1976 (presently known as Strides Shasun Ltd.) and steered the growth of the company to over US $ 200 million. He was the finalist of Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2003 and has held a number of prestigious positions in the industry. He is a Chemical Engineer from Anna University. He is actively associated with Exnora International (NGO) and has set up Shasun Jain College for Women in heart of Chennai to promote women's education in the year 2005.
