Biography
Dr H Surekha Rani obtained her Masters degree in Genetics from Osmania University 1993. She was awarded PhD degree in Genetics from Osmania University in 2001. She was selected for the award of Post-Doctoral Fellowship funded by the Department of Biotechnology from 2002-04. She later worked as a Scientist and In-charge of Cytogenetics Department at Institute of Genetics, OU and joined as an Assistant Professor in 2007, at Department of Genetics, OU. She is a chairperson BOS Biotechnology from 2014 to till date.
Research Interest
Her areas of research interest include Biochemical, Immunological and Molecular studies on adult onset disorders like Coronary artery disease, Diabetes Mellitus, Diabetic Nephropathy and Cancers.
