Biography
Dr. Sandhya Annamaneni working as Assistant Professor in Department of Genetics, Osmania University (From September 2013). She pursued her postgraduation (2001- 2003) from Osmania University with M.Sc. Genetics as specialization. From 2003-2004, she worked as academic lecturer at Pragathi Degree college for Women, Hyderabad. She is well versed with several topics on Molecular genetics, Biochemistry, Microbial genetics, Biostatistics, Human Genetics, Immunogetics and Bioinformatics. She got qualified in national level CSIR-UGC test and joined the Department of Genetics, OU to begin her research career as JRF under the guidance of Prof. S.Vishnupriya. She worked on the analysis of candidate genes involved in High Myopia development and was awarded Ph.D. in Genetics in 2011 from Osmania University. She worked as Visiting Scientist at Indian Statistical institute, Hyderabad on the functional analysis of candidate genes in the development of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. She attended various national (2) and international conferences (11) and presented her research work. She has 5 national and 7 international research publications to her credit.

Her research areas of interest are Human Molecular Genetics and Cancer epigenetics
