Biography

Mr. Nirav Karelia possesses ideally blended career profile having more than eighteen years of experience in industry as well as academia.He had worked at Birla Copper, a copper smelter unit of Hindalco, the Aditya Birla group's mega project situated at Dahej-Bharuch. He has very good exposure to different facets of electrical engineering such as designing, testing, installation & commissioning, operating & Maintenance of electrical apparatus. He also has excellent exposure towards latest automation and power electronics technology. In academics, he has more than fifteen years of thorough teaching and academic administration experience at different levels of hierarchy and played a vital role in upbringing of budding institutes. He has taught fifteen courses at undergraduate level. He has published articles and papers at national and international journals and conferences. He has been pioneering member of two upcoming institutes and set up many well known state of the art laboratories for different courses. He has been a founder member of ISTE chapter and founded ISTE Students Chapter, which wins best chapter awards at national level since many years. He also organized a national level work shop on 'GIS, GPS & RS"" in collaboration with RESECO(ISRO), sponsored by GUJCOST(DST) for researchers, teaching faculties and industry delegates. He has been a member of core organizing committee of many state and national level techfests. He has organized several one-week workshops on PLC training and microcontroller programming in collaboration with international trainers.
