Biography
"Dr Brar has specialized in the field of environmental studies in geography. She has been working on various ecological and social issues linked to the Green Revolution. Her PhD was a pioneering attempt at analyzing the ecological impact of the green revolution in Punjab. Upon her induction as lecturer in 1994, she introduced the course of biogeography at the master’s level and environmental geography at the M Phil level at the Department of Geography, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Dr. Brar is of the opinion that pedagogy and research complement each other and contribute to dissemination and generation of knowledge."
