Biography
"Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, UGC professor at Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Guru Jambeshwar University, Hisar, Haryana. He is the first faculty member who has been student of the Physics Department, Panjab University to have achieved this milestone. He has been associated with Education administration and Management with past 15 years. An ex-member of Panjab University Senate, he has held the post of director, Computer Centre where he contributed significantly. He is post-doctoral fellow, a research leader and associate member of ICTP, Trieste, Italy. His research work has h-index 15 and has more than 500 citations. He has more than 130 Research papers to his credit and has about ten visits abroad. He has also been associated with various UGC projects. He is also a member of prestigious National Academy of Sciences. "
