Biography
Dr. Purvi Derashri is currently working with the Parul Institute of Commerce as a Dean in the different courses of Bachelors’ and Masters’ of Commerce. She is a Management graduate with Finance Specialization and holds Doctorate in Corporate Finance – Mergers and Acquisitions. She is also a qualified Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Finance from M.S. University. Dr. Purvi Derashri started her career as an Assistant Professor with C. U. Shah Institute of Engineering and Technology (MBA Department), after spending around seven years in Management Institute She moved to Parul Institute of Commerce as Dean at Faculty of Commerce. She joined Parul Institute of Commerce, Parul University in the year Dec 2016, before PIC she was with Parul Institute of Management as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Management, Parul University. She has around eight years of teaching experience. During these eight years she had gained academic administration experience in the capacity of area Academic coordination, Examination coordination and in Absentia I/C Director Activities for the Institute. Her area of research and teaching includes Corporate Finance, Corporate Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategic Management, Management Control System, Research Methodology, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis and Firm Valuation.
