Biography
Dr. S. Murugesh is the Professor and Head of the Department of Botany at Periyar University. He pursued his M.Sc., (Botany) from University of Madras in 1983 and Ph.D., (Post Harvest Technology- Banana) from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, 1989.His Area of Specialisation are Ethno botany, Phytochemistry, Plant biotechnology, Post-harvest Physiology and Biochemistry of fruits, Environmental Biotechnology, Herbal Medicine, Industrial Biotechnology and Genetics. He is Life member in Association of Microbiologists of India (AMI) from 2004
