Biography

Rahul is a Business Leader with over 22 years of experience in FMCG and BFSI in Sales & Marketing. He currently heads the Human Resource Function at Pidilite. Rahul joined Pidilite in 2010 as the President– Sales and Marketing for the Art & Stationery Business. He has been instrumental in driving the business growth, helping the business achieve a threefold growth from 2010 to early 2017. He has been involved with establishing Pidilite’s flagship offering in handicraft segment– Fevicryl Fabric Glue in India and neighbouring SAARC markets. Under his leadership, Pidilite’s eCommerce business in hobby retailing was conceptualized and executed. Rahul moved as President - HR in July, 2017. This change of his stream is the way of engaging with his area of passion–‘people management’ and Pidilite’s way of having cross-functional movements at every level. Prior to Pidilite, Rahul has spent six years in financial services, as Chief Marketing Officer for Birla Sun Life Insurance and Group Brand Head for Kotak Mahindra Bank. Rahul started his career in ITC Limited where he spent nine years across various roles and businesses. Rahul is a Post Graduate from IIM - Bangalore and B.Tech from IIT-ISMU.
