Mr. Salil Dalal

Biography

 Salil has been with Pidilite since July 2012. In the first 3 years, he developed the Rurban business into a strong division by tripling the distribution reach, stabilizing marketing modules and building a capable team. Today, Salil heads the P&L for the Fevicol division. He drives innovation, has a strong focus to enhance his team’s capability while developing his own skills. This has helped him to lead businesses at Pidilite and to accelerate in new industries. Prior to Pidilite, Salil worked for 10 years at Asian Paints. He worked in multiple roles focusing on Sales, IT, Marketing and Services. Salil’s stints in Nokia’s Startup in mobile payments space (3 years), and Future Group’s Home Retail (2 years) also sharpened his entrepreneurial skills and widened his exposure across consumer products and services. Before doing his Management studies, he worked in Godrej GE Appliances Ltd in Manufacturing. One of Salil’s proudest achievement was to be awarded India's Hottest Business Leaders 2013-14 - India's Top 40 under 40 by the Economic Times. Salil is a graduate of B.Tech (Mechanical) from Banaras Hindu University and holds a MMS from Mumbai University. His passions include photography and running. Salil’s inspirational quote: If you want to build a ship, then don't drum up men to gather wood, give orders, and divide the work. Rather, teach them to yearn for the far and endless sea.
