Biography
Gautam Banerjee joined Blackstone group on 1st January, 2013 as a Senior Advisor. He works as an independent director with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Pte. Ltd. He started his career with Touche Ross & Co, London in 1977, as an Audit Assistant and then grew in ranks to become an Audit Supervisor. In 1982, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers, Singapore as an Asst. Manager and served the company for twenty years. During his stint with PwC, he became the Chief Operating Officer for PwC's Eastern Cluster which includes China, Australia, Japan, and South East Asia. He also became a member of PwC's Global Firm's Strategy Council. He became the Interim Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers India on 7th December, 2009. He has also served as a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and as an Investment Committee Member of Singapore Indian Development Association(SINDA). Gautam is on the board of trustees with Singapore Indian Development Association and also serves as a Governing Board and Chairman with the Prestigious Yale-NUS College.
