Nandini

Biography

  Nandini Piramal is Executive Director, Piramal Enterprises and leads the Over-The-Counter (OTC) business of the company. She heads the Human Resources function at Piramal Group and the Quality & Risk functions at Piramal Healthcare. Under Nandini’s leadership, the OTC business moved up ranks from 40 in 2008 to 7 in 2012. She played a pivotal role in Piramal Healthcare’s branded generic-medicine business sale to Abbott Laboratories at a record 30x EBITDA. She has recently initiated an HR transformation strategy, with renewed focus on service delivery, customer centricity and operational excellence. This outlines a 5 year restructuring programme, SEEDS, to build on human capital. In 2014, the World Economic Forum recognized Nandini as a ‘Young Global Leader’. Nandini is passionately involved with Piramal Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Piramal Group. She directs implementation strategy across Piramal Foundation Education Leadership programs, Piramal Sarvajal and Piramal Swasthya. She graduated with BA (Hons) Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University, followed by an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. In her spare time, Nandini enjoys cooking, travelling and reading
