Nandini Piramal

Biography

Nandini Piramal is Executive Director of Piramal Enterprises and leads the Over-The-Counter (OTC) business of the Company. Apart from that, she heads the Human Resources function at Piramal Group and the Quality and Risk functions at Piramal Enterprises. Her aim is to drive the business growth that sets industry benchmarks. Under Nandini’s dynamic leadership, the Company’s OTC segment has transformed into one of India’s fastest-growing OTC businesses in the last five years. Today, all OTC brands are ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in their respective categories. Nandini played a pivotal role and spearheaded the business sale to Abbott Laboratories at a record 30x EBITDA. As the Head of Human Resources, she has initiated an HR transformation strategy that focuses strongly on service delivery, customer centricity and operational excellence. This will be executed through a five-year restructuring programme called SEEDS, to build and develop the existing talent pool as well as attract new talent. Within a short span of her career, Nandini was recognised as a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum in 2014. Nandini is passionately involved with Piramal Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Piramal Group. She directs implementation strategy across Piramal Foundation Education Leadership programmes, Piramal Sarvajal and Piramal Swasthya. Nandini holds an Honours Degree in Politics, and has Majored in Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and Business Administration from the prestigious Strandford Graduate School of Business.
