Biography

 Mr. Vivek Sharma currently serves as the CEO of Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS), a global leader in providing Contract Research, Development and Manufacturing services towards the life sciences industry. Piramal offers integrated solutions from discovery through development and commercialization, with research and manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia. Under Vivek’s leadership, Piramal has established itself as the ‘partner of choice’ for both large pharma and biotech firms. Vivek’s focus on Quality, Reliability, and Customer Centricity has resulted in Piramal being voted as a ‘global top 10% CMO’ from 2014 through 2016. Vivek was also recognized as the global “CEO of the Year”, 2016, at CPhi Worldwide in Madrid. Vivek has led Piramal Pharma Solutions through rapid growth with a strategy that augments organic growth with synergistic, well timed, acquisitions. Internal investments in fast growing segments such as Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) manufacturing and hormonals, have been complemented by acquisitions in High Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (HPAPI) manufacturing, and Injectable Development and Commercialization Services. Recognizing the need to be close to the customer, under his leadership, Piramal Pharma Solutions has enhanced its presence in the North American market and now has three sites- Lexington (KY), Riverview (MI),Toronto (Canada)- that offer both API and Drug Product capabilities.

 Vivek is based in Boston and has over 25 years of Global management experience, and has been listed among ‘the top 100 finance professionals in the United States’. Vivek is a Chartered Accountant from India, a qualified CPA, and also holds a Masters in International Business from Thunderbird School of Management.
