Rodrigo Blanco Zamora

Biography

Rodrigo joined ProMéxico, India in September 2010 as Head of Operations. Later he assumed the post of Director of ProMéxico for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives & Nepal as well as Principal Trade & Investment Officer from the Embassy of Mexico. He currently works as in-charge of promoting the attraction of direct foreign investment, and the export of goods and services, as well as the internationalization of Mexican companies in order to contribute to Mexico’s economic and strengthen the Mexico’s image as a strategic business partner.  He has been instrumental to develop relationship of ProMexico, India with various corporate houses. Beside that he has been awarded for his contribution for Indo-Mexico trade by different associations like India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO), Retailer Association of India (RAI), Bombay Bullion Association (BBA), All India Association of Industries, etc.   He has lectured widely on economic issues between Mexico and India at various institutions and think-tanks in India and overseas. Before ProMéxico, he worked in the WTC Association in charge of internal accounts and later served as Coordinator of Training Cross Cultural & Business Programs in the CLMS Mexico for Embassies and Consulates, as well as for multinational companies like General Motors, Scotiabank, Pepsico, Siemens, Bosch, among others. He graduated from a BA in International Commerce from Universidad Internacional in Mexico, with a major in marketing and has obtained two Masters Degrees, one in Global Marketing from Universidad Internacional in Mexico and the other in Business Administration from McCombs School of Business, University of Texas.
