Biography
Jayashree Dasgupta is a clinical psychologist with a specialization in neuropsychology and an interest in public health. She holds an MPhil and PhD from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, and is trained in psychotherapy and cognitive rehabilitation. She has practiced in clinical settings working with children and adults having various neuropsychiatric conditions. As a part of the translational neuroscience team at PHFI, she is keen to develop scalable screening and intervention solutions for mental health challenges in India and is currently focussing on development of community based detection tools for childhood autism. She is also overseeing the Shared research project which is evaluating the scale up of a peer delivered intervention for maternal depression. Prior to joining PHFI, she has worked with Pearson Clinical and Talent Assessment, heading projects to adapt and standardize psychological tests for the Indian population. She is also interested in mental health in the workplace and has been associated with employee assistance services and WIPRO Technologies, designing programs on stress management and work-life issues.
