Biography
Mr. Nanda Kishore Kannuri is a social anthropologist by training with specialisation in medical anthropology in his M. Phil. He has a Post graduate diploma in Planning and Project Management. He is currently conducting PhD research on the topic “Clinical Ethnography of Farmer Suicides in Andhra Pradesh: Developing a Culturally Sensitive Public Health Framework for Intervention.†Prior to joining IIPH Hyderabad as Assistant Professor, he worked in the development sector for a decade in various capacities in National and International NGOs. His experience is mostly in formative research, Qualitative and community based participatory research, training and intervention management on various aspects around HIV & AIDS. He also worked on different projects on Tuberculosis, Disaster Management, Environment Assessment, Tribal Development etc.

Socio-Cultural determinants of Health and Illness, Mental Health, Qualitative research methods and Health systems research.
