Biography
Dr. Negandhi has completed her MBBS from Mumbai University, followed by MD (Preventive and Social Medicine) from Nagpur University. She has also done her MSc (Public Health Research) from University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Dr. Negandhi has conducted research in the areas of maternal and child health and diabetes as part of her post-graduate dissertations. Her previous work included technical assistance in coordination, planning and implementation of immunization related activities across the country through various consultancy projects. Dr. Negandhi is currently involved in teaching epidemiology, biostatistics and research methods in classroom as well as distance-learning courses. She is the Course Coordinator for the Post Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology program. She co-ordinates workshops on “Design and Conduct of Observational Designs†and “Leadership in Health & Development Sectors†and participates as resource faculty in some other training programs and workshops. She is also actively engaged in research activities at the institute. Her current research engagements are in areas of monitoring & evaluation, maternal & child health, HIV and health systems strengthening. She is involved as a team member in the Institute of Medicine project on leadership skill-building. She has also authored manuscripts for reputed national and international journals of public health importance.
