Biography
Anjali Singh has rich experience in public health with special focus on STI/HIV/AIDS and reproductive and child health with various international organizations such as Family Health International (in a sex workers project supported by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), Population Services International, India Canada Collaborative HIV/AIDS Project (a bilateral project funded by Canadian International Development Agency) and CARE India. She has played diverse roles in various project management capacities in development & management of projects, research, trainings and advocacy with NGOs and various senior government officials of Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Furthermore, she provided technical and strategic support to State AIDS Control Society (SACS) and partner NGOs in the two states and undertook baseline and evaluation projects. She has participated in and supervised a range of research studies on HIV and health systems. She has gained sound understanding of grass-roots level health issues and government systems and has been instrumental in implementation of health programs at grass-roots level. While implementing social marketing strategies for the health products she learnt various aspects of business that can benefit public health. She is passionate about Behaviour Change Communications (BCC) and has implemented various models of BCC at the community level for a diverse population. She has presented papers on HIV/AIDS in international conferences and has published papers in public health.
