Biography
Mr. Maulik has completed his MSc in Biochemistry from Maharaja Sajayi Rao University, Baroda and MSc in Health Policy Planning and Financing from London School of Economics and Political Science and Diploma in Health Policy Planning and Financing from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has had continued interest in the health systems in developing countries and has worked extensively in various states in India. He is currently involved in projects with European Commission (EC), Save the Children and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). He has also worked on projects with Planning Commission of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, The World Bank, USAID, DFID, UNDP and many ministries at state level and Civil Society Organization (CSO). He is also theme leader, pricing and procurement, of BRICS Medicine Alliance and has been part of secretariat of High Level Expert Group on health constituted by planning commission. His expertise lies in the areas of pharmaceutical economics inclusive of pharmaceutical market analysis, procurement supply chain management of medicines in public health system and policy analysis, health care financing and health insurance, human resources, health technology assessment, outcomes research and health economics. Working as a faculty in IIPH Delhi, he plans to develop the areas of health economics outcomes research and pharmaceutical policy impact analysis using medicine life cycle approach.
