Biography
Dr. Niveditha Devasenapathy is a medical doctor, trained in clinical research and applied statistics. She pursued her Masters in Clinical Trials from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as a Distance Learning (DL) Programme and passed with Distinction. She has 10 years’ experience in clinical and public health research. She has managed several large, Phase III international multicentre trials. Currently she is involved in a multicentre randomized controlled trial on efficacy of Intravenous iron in anaemic pregnant women and a field trial on community based Maternal and Child Health Care promotion. She has a reasonable number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals. She is engaged in teaching clinical research for the ongoing Masters in Clinical Research program and several short term training programmes in the area of research methods and biostatistics. She also works part time, as a tutor for the DL Clinical Trial Masters programme at LSHTM.
Research Interest
Data management, design and analysis of cluster randomized trials evaluating complex public health interventions in resource poor settings.
