Biography
Sunil is a Paediatrician with a Public Health background. He received a DCH and M.D. Preventive & Social Medicine from Lady Harding Medical College and M.B.B.S from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi. Sunil completed his Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology and Global Health) from University of South Florida. He has also qualified for membership of the Royal College of Physicians, (MRCP) UK. Besides having extensive experience in Clinical Paediatrics and Neonatology from the UK and Oman, he has worked with World Bank funded Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP), and National AIDS Control programme. As Programme Officer (Paediatric care) he has made significant contributions towards planning, implementation and monitoring of National Paediatric HIV/AIDS Care and treatment Initiative and development of National Guidelines for care and treatment of Infants and children infected with HIV. He was also a member of the technical group SEARO on peer review of Regional Paediatric Antiretroviral treatment guidelines. He is involved with the MCH-STAR, USAID funded projects, for providing Technical assistance to the Government of Jharkhand for Operationalisation of First Referral Units (FRU’s) in 12 districts. He is also leading a project on conducting Community based maternal death audits in one district of UP. His previous experience also includes working at Florida Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, a National Institute of Ageing (NIA) funded project responsible for coordinating all activities across multiple sites in Florida.

Maternal and Child survival, Clinical and Paediatric Epidemiology, and Paediatric HIV including PMTCT.
