Biography
Dr. Swati Srivastava research includes work on tobacco economics and fiscal policy, alcohol economics and fiscal policy, immunization, health systems preparedness for tobacco control, and health disparities. Swati is a dentist by training and completed her BDS from SPIDMS, Lucknow. She has three years work experience as a dental surgeon and in dental public health, after which she did the Post-graduate Diploma in Health Economics, Health care Financing, and Health Policy from the Indian Institute of Public Health, Delhi. She has also completed the Global Tobacco Control certificate course at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health for which she was awarded a Bloomberg scholarship. She was also awarded a Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation Scholarship to study qualitative and mixed methods research at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp.
