Biography

Sri Govind Hari, has in last eight years focused on promoting quality eye care as an affordable service in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Pushpagiri Vitreo Retina Institute, a super-specialty eye care hospital in Secunderabad, a National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) certified Hospital, and Pushpagiri Healthcare Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., a super specialty eye care hospital in Viziangaram. The institute and its affiliate have till date conducted over 1000 school screening camps, 1700 comprehensive eye camps, 250 specialty eye camps for diabetes and glaucoma, screening over 200,000 school children and over 500,000 adults in last seven years. The institutes have till date performed over 100,000 surgeries with over 52 % free cases. The Hospitals focuses on Vitreo Retinal Services, Glaucoma Services, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Diabetic Retinopathy, Modern Cataract Surgery and Comprehensive ophthalmology. One of the focus is in community ophthalmology with screening camps for school children, adults, community and special need for Diabetes and Glaucoma. The Hospital is a Post Graduate Institute in Ophthalmology, with DNB and fellowship programs and Vocational courses in Ophthalmology for non graduate students as Diploma recognized by state Paramedical Board.
