Dr. Sharmistha Bhattacharjee, Ph.D. (Sociology) from Visva Bharati Santiniketan, West Bengal, Master of Philosophy (Sociology) from Delhi School of Economics (University of Delhi); Master of Arts (Sociology) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi (First Rank);qualified UGC-NET and SLET (WB) in Sociology; holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration: She worked as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) with Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Noida ( Deemed University) : served as an Academic Associate at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad: have more than 11 years of teaching experience : guided PhD and BTech students : author of two books: published more than 35 research papers (in peer reviewed journals ) and articles in reputed books: presented more than 25 papers in National/International conferences: Editorial board member for three journals: Life member of Indian Sociological Society and Indian Association of Social Science and Health: specialises in empowerment of women and children, tribal development, organization behaviour, entrepreneurship, industrial relations, community and youth development.
